Hey, Sam!
Yyyyeeeeeeesssss?
I notice there’s a lot of changes going on at this site!
You’re very kind to notice! Our Praise page is already up with fancy things said about my book, myself and my professions. Our Excerpts page should be ready to go by the end of the week!
Look, man, I already knew you were a huge egomaniac so that Praise thing doesn’t help me. I was referring more to this “Lost Pages” tab at the top there.
Well, you’re a tad rude, aren’t you, Everyman? Yes, the Lore tab has been replaced with the Lost Pages.
Well, what’s that about?
It’s about progress, my friend! The Lost Pages will act as a story within a story, a primer for the characters, mythology and backstory surrounding The Aeons’ Gate and beyond! Those interested in the book will find a lot of interesting stuff to lure them in. Those already fans will find deeper, cooler looks into their favorite characters! The whole thing is illustrated by a very talented artist and very good friend of mine, Michael Lee Lunsford!
Illustrations, huh? Can we see one?
Well…I was going to save this for later, but I think I might be able to offer you a few passages on Dreadaeleon’s entry. Why not take a look?
Officially, wizards do not practice “magic.” Officially, wizards channel “Venarie,” their name for that extra little spice to their bodily stew that makes them capable of amplifying their own natural processes to the awe-inspiring displays of power they’re legendary for. Officially, the ideal goal for a wizard’s “unintended casualties” is three in ten people dead.
…
Such was the case with Dreadaeleon. It’s a weird, pretentious name, I know, but one can’t very well call himself a master of energetic manipulations with a name like “Irving,” I suppose. Ostensibly, Dread chose to follow me out of a desire to hone his own skills and temper his discipline. It’s not an uncommon practice amongst Venarium initiates, I’m told, and we’ve no shortage of things we need frozen, burned or electrocuted to death. I’d believe him if not for the fact that, as of the time of his joining, he was roughly seventeen years and I was traveling with two mature women of various backgrounds and temperaments.
Wow! That’s cool! Will there be more?
There will!
When?
Next week!
Oh god, I can’t wait that long!
Too bad!
What if the art style isn’t for me?
Then I will open you up like a Christmas present.
Oh…well…uh…
Looking forward to it, right?
The opening?
No, the other thing.
Oh, that! Yes…yes, that is something I am looking forward to.
Great! So am I! See you then!
I always likes me some illustrations. Does that mean there might be a graphic novel in your future?
